CHADHA ALFA ALUMINUM MILK CANS WITH LID 

1. FUNCTION:

      Cans will be used for transportation of Milk from Milk collection centers to processing      

      plants and for handling milk in processing plants.

2.   DESIGN : 

        Capacity 50 liters.

The Aluminum alloy milk can is  manufactured and tested in  accordance with  the BIS standard, IS:1825-1983 with amendments till date.

3. Body : Single piece stream-lined construction formed by deep drawing and 

       subsequent spinning.  Weld joints are completely eliminated as the body is in single piece.

1. Handle : Made of extruded aluminum alloy bar, designed to give a good grip of the can.

1. Bottom Band : These shall be made from an extruded section of aluminum alloy, rolled and brazed or welded to ring shape. The bottom band shall be shrunk fit with proper locking arrangement on the body. This shall be followed by brazing or welding all sides flushed with bottom permitting draining of water and detergent from bottom of the reversed can.

1. Lid : The lid shall  also be of the same aluminum alloy and provided with air equalizing holes. The lid shall be of  mushroom shape to drain off any water outside. The lid shall be provided with two Nos. of punched holes near periphery of lid for sealing the contents of the can. Two piece design  lid shall be first spot welded at four points near periphery and at the centre followed by brazing all around.

1. MOC:  Can body and can lid shall be made from sheets of aluminum alloy conforming to IS designation 64430 (HS 30) of IS:737-1974 and handles and bottom band of  aluminum as per standard IS:733-1975 with latest amendment if any.

1. Heat Treatment and Anodizing: The can and can lid shall be solution heat treated and age- hardened for maximum strength and durability. The can and  lid shall also be anodized from inside and outside to protect them from corrosion.

1. Finish: All brazing or welding shall be free from porosity, blowholes.

Lid is suitable for 30, 40 and 50 liters aluminium  Milk can  manufactured as per IS 1825:1983

The lids are  manufactured by means of pressing and spinning and are  heat-treated after manufacture. The lid  is then anodized.
